Poetry Collaboration

Start out by reading Jack's adventure in Love That Dog and then come back and add partake in some of the poetry assignments presented on this space. Or create your own form of poetry. The sky's the limit for poetry.

Poem 1: The first poem Mrs. Stretchberry introduces Jack to is titled "The Red Wheelbarrow" by William Carlos Williams. This poem is all about imagery and how objects hold meanings. Jack wrote a poem similar about a blue car. The blue car contained a lot of meaning for Jack, but only Jack and his family knew that meaning.

Play around with this sort of poetry. Try to write five lines of poetry that focuses on objects that hold meaning. Exchange the poems with a friend and see if they can figure out the meaning behind your poem.
